Pride In Movement Physical Therapy
Why Pride In Movement PT?
Not only will I give you a robust, 1-on-1 evaluation and treatment plan that we work on together across the initial visit and follow-ups (I provide Superbills for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement), but I keep myself open to all patients for email inquiries outside of appointment times if you have any sudden changes in your condition, need reminders about your treatment plan, or if you have any other pressing questions. I am here for you when you need me! Not only that, but I come to you! You can receive physical therapy in the comfort of your own home with me coming in person if you live within my travel range (noted below) or anywhere in the state of Maine via telehealth! By treating you in your home I can highly personalize exercises I prescribe you to ensure you have the proper space, environment, and equipment to do anything I show you. Additionally, I supply the bands at no extra cost! If you don't have your own bands already, I keep a stock of latex-free ones to give to patients.
About Me & My Practice
Hi there! I'm Riley, the creator of Pride In Movement Physical Therapy! As a gay man myself, I strive for my services to be extremely inclusive to people of all backgrounds. I come to you! Be it in-person if you're within my travel range (anything within a 40 minute drive of North Deering) or telehealth as long as you live in Maine I will treat you. I am an orthopedic and pelvic health physical therapist so I will see people for most issues! On the orthopedic side, I treat just about anything from your typical bodily aches, pains, or dysfunctions, to even post-operative rehabilitation. For pelvic health, I have worked with both male and female populations for a variety of conditions including but not limited to: incontinence (both urinary and fecal), painful urination or defecation, pre and post-partum populations, pelvic pain (any pain in the pelvic region be it vaginal, anal, penile, testicular, or other), and sexual dysfunction (such as pain with penetration). Additionally, I have a heavy interest in working with populations dealing with chronic pain. I follow a very holistic view of treating chronic pain with breathwork and educating people on the neurology of pain perception to help them better understand their pain.
I have chosen to be a completely cash-based PT service to be able to give the best service I possibly can without having an insurance company's influence on my plan of care. My rates are $150 for evaluation and $125 for follow-up visits. I can generate superbills for my services for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement, though I cannot guarantee you will receive reimbursement depending on your insurance's policies.
On the get-to-know-me side, I grew up in the Portland area so I've lived here my whole life! I graduated from the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of New England, and I also have my bachelor's in Athletic Training from the University of Southern Maine. If you're familiar with the area, I'm a Deering High School graduate as well.
